Royal Albert Memorial Museum, Exeter – Galleries lighting upgrade

The museum urgently needs to replace the lighting system in most galleries with energy saving LED bulbs and their compatible fittings. This work will keep RAMM open for the public to enjoy and improve RAMM’s energy performance and environmental sustainability.

The halogen bulbs used in the permanent galleries are being phased out as sustainable LED’s become a legal requirement. If not carried out the work over the next year the existing lighting system will eventually fail because the fittings are not LED compatible; galleries may have to close.
