Rushford Rejuvenation

We want to renovate and reconfigure an existing sand based 7–a–side court, which has come to the end of its natural life span, creating 2 modern fit for purpose 3rd generation 5-a-side pitches in a secure area. The project will create modern facilities that can drive small sided participation. There are currently no small sided leagues in Longsight Ward, with the nearest affiliated venue exceeding 25 minute transport journey is at The Armitage Centre, Fallowfield, however that facility is at full capacity with university students, restricting community access. Rushford Park will become a Small Sided Centre to offer an alternative format of football to increase adult participation, with extended provision to increase access to 15 local clubs, as a training aid for club teams.
