Ruskin Park – A Walk in the Park

This is an innovative project that will connect people with their local park in collaboration with South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM), Kings College Hospital, the Friends of Ruskin Park and Lambeth Council. We are ambitious for Ruskin to become a Health Park that is fully utilised by its local community; a hub of healthy outdoor activity to support physical and mental health and wellbeing in Lambeth.

The project will improve specific areas within the park to make it a more welcoming, safe, high-quality, leafy and resilient park for all to enjoy, including maintenance, improvement and tree planting activities. We will engage and involve local people to plant, beautify and celebrate their park, offering a range of community activities to encourage people to visit the park and get active through walking, gardening and food-growing, having a profound impact on the health and wellbeing of local residents and hospital patients.
