Rutland Water Osprey Project

A Biodiversity initiative to establish a self-sustaining breeding population of Osprey in central England. It includes conservation planning and management works to the wetland habitats at Rutland Water Nature Reserve. Additionally the project involves key public access and interpretation elements plus practical nature conservation volunteering opportunities that will facilitate peoples experience and enjoyment of Rutland Water and its Ospreys. 50% or £70000 of the overall budget has been registered, as the ‘JD’ has elements in it that could not be registered (volunteer co-ord, rota mgt etc).
