RWB St Bartholomew and All Saints Church - Audio and Visual Equipment

Our project is to provide a robust, high quality, easy to use audio visual streaming service to enable our whole community to view online events held in the church, e.g. concerts, recitals, Year 6 Leavers celebration service, Mayor Making, Civic Services. We want to see St Bartholomew's at the centre of our community providing access not only to church services but also to all the other events held in the church building. We hosted the renowned Treorchy Male Choir earlier this year and the Stagecoach Performing Arts will be staging a pantomime in church this year for the first time.

We have an existing audio/streaming system in place which needs urgent updating.

We envisage that by sharing more events online, it will raise our profile and encourage more people to visit the church where we can engage with them and introduce them to our other church buildings and facilities, these being: -

• The Croft coffee shop, located in the grounds of the church which is open daily from 10am until 12 noon for light refreshments, company and chats. This is a registered Wiltshire Warm Space. These premises are also used as a meeting place for other community groups during the afternoons and evenings. Currently an Art Group, a Book Club, a Therapy Group and a feeding support group for new mums use the facility regularly. The local MP uses the facility on a regular basis to hold constituency surgeries. It also hosts the Royal Wootton Bassett satellite of Swindon Food Collective.
• The Church Hall, which is used regularly by a Dance School, various fitness groups, singing groups, a toddler group and other community groups including a Dementia Choir and a music therapy group for children with special educational needs.

We aim to be a community hub which thrives and grows to support the residents of the town and helps to address issues of inclusion, loneliness and other social issues.

We expect more people to be socially included in events held in the church. Monitoring will be by recording the number of views on the viewing platforms. The church already monitors its viewing figures on You Tube and we expect to see an increase in these from present levels.
We will be able to reduce the need to replace HDMI cables, batteries and other ad hoc equipment.
