Ryhope Engines Trust

The proposal is to improve accessibility to the interior of the museum by installing a passenger lift, installing an easy opening sliding door, installing easy going steel steps to the proposed lift, installing a Local Area Network and six CCTV cameras, install a dedicated elecrical power supply and repair stonework. Ryhope Engines Museum is based upon the Ryhope Pumping Station. The buildings are Grade II listed and the site is designated as an ancient scheduled monument. The public areas of the museum have been continually and sympathetically developed as a museum displaying artifacts relating to the abstraction use and distribution of water as funds have allowed.
