Safe and Educational Play

Kirkshaws Neighbourhood Centre is a community centre, managed through a local third sector organisation (kirkshaws Neighbourhood Centre), which offers a range of children’s and adult’s facilities / activities open to the general public and local communities throughout the entire year. The centre currently incorporates two outdoor play areas used by the centre’s playgroup and other children and youth groups / clubs using this centre. The Care Commission has imposed a requirement that the registered playgroup using the centre must provide safer outdoor play areas than currently provided by the centre. Thus LCF monies will be used to improve and upgrade the existing play areas which will be used by both the playgroup and other children and youth groups which make use of the centre.
