Safety Boat – Looe Sailing Club

Purchase of up-to date water safety/rescue craft to accommodate extra community use for events and water sports in Looe and surrounding areas. This will offer wider safety craft facilities to other organisations in the town such as the Gig Rowing Club, Boat Owners Club as well as provide support for a wide range of town lead events eg, Trawler Race, Raft Race, Festival of the Sea and boat owners events, It will assist in attracting major events such as National Larks 2007 and RS Fleet 2008/09 together with a bis as a training base for some of the 2012 Olympic Water Events. It will also highten safety awarness in the Looe Sailing Club including involvement in the Youth Sail Training Development Scheme
