Salkeld Dykes Methodist Chapel Roof

Great Salkeld has a rich historical heritage going back centuries and was in the heart of disputed lands which were regularly raided by the Border Reivers. The villagers wish to maintain both their heritage and community spirit and totally support this project which is to repair the Salkeld Dykes Methodist Chapel roof.

The present roof is believed to be original (1832) and work is now need to preserve and safeguard the future of this attractive chapel, so it may continue to serve as a place of worship in the Great Salkeld area.
