Salmon Hatchery (Kirkcudbrightshire Dee)

A hatchery will be constructed to raise 200 000 salmon eggs annually. The Dee historically used to support one of the healthiest salmon populations in South West Scotland. Due to various pressures this salmon population is now so low that direct intervention is required to promote recovery.
