Saltholme's Big Dig

This project has 4 elements: 1) Installation of a seal viewpoint to provide visitors with a sheltered place to watch local seal colonies. 2) Creation of a dragonfly safari from grassland to habitat for invertebrates. Visitors will be able to immerse themselves along pools and paths that they can explore. 3) Re-landscaping Paddy’s Pool and the Main Lake to reduce the effect of wind and wave erosion on the banks. 4) Phase 2 of the works at Saltholme Pools to increase Saltholme’s capacity to hold water and minimise the risk of flooding to neighbouring communities.
