Samaritans of Colchester, Tendring and Suffolk Borders – Walsingham Rd main roof replacement

Walsingham Road Community Hall is a fully accessible community venue available for hire to other community groups and charities.
A detailed survey of the Hall (February 2011) identified the need to replace the building’s main roof within five years and to bring this aspect of the building up to modern, environment-friendly standards.
The roof leaks in places, with the potential to cause damage to other parts of the building. It does not meet modern building regulations with regard to insulation. The consequence is higher-than-necessary central heating bills and adverse environmental impact.
