Sammy’s Basin Boardwalk

The project aims to enhance the environment of Daisy Nook Country Park by providing a boardwalk at the focal point of Sammy’s Basin on the Hollinwood Branch Canal. This is a dis-used canal with significant local interest in industrial heritage, wildlife habitat and receational facility accessible by the whole community. The boardwalk will provide greater access for angling as well as aesthetically improving the appearance of this area as it will replace several untidy and deteriorating individual fishing pegs.
