Sandelford Bridge underpass scheme in Coleraine

The scheme will link and upgrade two paths in Coleraine along the Sandelford Bridge underpass. The existing 1.5m wide path is for pedestrians only and has no guard rail. The aim of the project is to provide a shared use path for pedestrians and cyclists. The path under the bridge will be upgraded and widened to 3m with an additional 0.5m buffer between the path and a proposed guardrail. The scheme would link with the recently upgraded cycle path that runs adjacent to the river Bann.
