Sandford Orcas Village Hall – New Roof and Internal Modernisation

Scaffold building and establish a tent over the main hall to protect against the weather. Remove existing asbestos roof tiles in accordance with regulations and remainder of original roof structure. Construct new roof frame. Cover with new tiles to match those on billiard room. To resolve cold and dampness problems install cork insulation under roof and on inside of external walls, brick up west end gable window. Rewire whole building and stage lighting. Fit new fire doors. Remove gas heaters and install new efficient central heating system throughout. Fit new skylights. Redecorate inside and out.
