Saughton Park Play Area Refurbishment

The project will refurbish a play area in Saughton Park in Edinburgh. The play area is located in a popular inner city park, which has a wide range of facilities, including a recently installed skate park, ornamental garden and winter gardens and playing fields, making the park as a whole a popular destination. The refurbishment of the play area will complement the other facilities in the park and create a high quality facility. Existing equipment will be refurbished where possible and some removed where it has reached the end of its useful life. New equipment will be installed with improved play value, and existing sandworks will be refurbished with new sand and play equipment. New bark surfacing and log containment will be installed and access improved. There will be a small area of wildflower planting, to improve local biodiversity and visual appearance.
