Saving Merries Farm Meadows

The project involves the purchase of Merries Farm Meadows Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). The site comprises two small meadows totalling 1 hectare (the SSSI is 0.93 hectares) and is located in the Malvern Chase Living Landscape area and close to Worcestershire Wildlife Trust’s Duke of York and Ryefields meadow nature reserves. The owner has agreed to sell the site to Worcestershire Wildlife Trust and a formal agreement has been drawn up to allow us until January 2018 to raise the funds necessary to complete the purchase.
