Saving Scotland’s Red Squirrels (Aberdeen City) Phase 2

This is a continuation of project Number 242122.74 originally registered on 22 May 2009. The project sets out to increase the geographical range of the native Red Squirrel population through habitat improvement and the control of introduced Grey Squirrels. The project will be delivered by staff employed by the Scottish Wildlife Trust. Data have confirmed that sightings Red Squirrels have spread and increased their geographical range. Trapping results show that there is a marked reduction in the number and geographic range of Grey Squirrels. This funding will help deliver the project for the next three years.
