Saving Scotland’s Red Squirrels, Dumfries and Galloway

The aim of this project is to ensure that the red squirrel – a much loved and endangered native species – continues to thrive in Dumfries and Galloway. The project will result in:

– The establishment of Red squirrel Protection Networks to increase protection for red squirrels by focusing grey squirrel control to areas where this action is likely to have the greatest benefit
– A network of motivated and supported volunteers across the area
