Scorton Playing Field Project – Children’s Play Area

This project is one key element of a coherent and integrated vision for the development of the village playing fields which arose out of the community consultations which proceeded the adoption of the Parish Plan in 2004.

The main elements include the Children’s Play Area, Multi-use games area, grassed area. ‘chill-out zones / Sensory Gardens’ and access and car parking for carers – all near the village centre.

This project has been designed to provide a challenging and inclusive play area for children up to the age of 13 yrs which enhances the rural character of the site which is adjacent to an AONB and Scorton Conservation Area.
