Scotswood Natural Community Garden

The garden is a two-acre site comprising of several areas including vegetable and forest gardens, ponds and a wild flower meadow in the west end of Newcastle. The organisation works with community projects and schools who use the site for training as well as leisure. It has a regular volunteers who maintain the garden, and students from Newcastle College are also offered work placements. Over 5,000 people and 60 groups visited the garden last year, ages ranging from 1 to 100.
