Scottish Dragon Finder Kilfinnan

This project forms part of our wider national Scottish Dragon Finder programme. Kilfinnan Community Forest is a hub for the local community providing many facilities. Volunteers from the Jobcentre plus help out on the site and the local school holds forest school at the site. Our proposal is to work with the site managers to create three ponds and to install a dipping platform at one end of the ponds. We will also be installing an interpretation board. We will be providing a training programme for the volunteer groups to enable them to monitor both the habitat and the species on site. We will host sessions with the local school to upskill teachers in pond dipping techniques and species identification skills
