Scout Hall, Weaverham – Update

The Scout Hall is 87 years old and of wooden construction, and requires urgent need to rebuild it to modern standards. In 2008-9 resources allowed them to rebuild one end of the Hall, and they are now applying to other funding bodies with a view to completing the reconstruction.
Construction to modern building standards of a new section of the existing Scout Hall, to replace the part that is presently made of wood with a brick-built structure and including all necessary works such as electrical, plumbing and redecoration. The wood is beginning to rot, fire safety is compromised, and standards of security, thermal efficiency and noise insulation are poor. If this work is not carried out, the Hall will become unfit for use and finding other premises will incur extra costs for Scouts and other groups using our Hall.
