Scout hut re-build

The purpose of our project is to demolish our current building and put in place a suitable sustainable replacement which can continue to meet the needs of both the Scout movement and the local community, for which we believe this building also serves. The current building is made of concrete prefabricated walls and we unfortunately have an asbestos tiled roof, originally the Scout Hut was not designed to last in excess of 25 years. We have been fundraising for over 20 years with the hope of having enough to secure a new building. The Scout Hut is based in Bowling Green Lane, an ideal location for all to access. We currently hold a 25 year lease with the Town Council which has just been implemented.
