Sea Mills Community Initiatives- Sea Mills Community Garden

For the development of a community gardening project. The grant will cover the cost of a paved area, gazebo, table, gate, signage, raised beds, seeds & bulbs, fruit trees, fire pit, volunteer training, a Project Coordinator, admin and publicity. Progress so far includes developing part of the plot for communal gardening, installing a shed and two accessible raised beds. Funding has been received for a level path to enable wheelchair users to access the site. We now need funds for the next phase including a paved and sheltered communal focal point - a place for volunteers to chat over tea, and plan future tasks. We need a working lockable gate at the main site access point, with appropriate signage. We hope to plant more trees and woodland wildflowers in our orchard area.
