Seagry and Startley Recreation Ground Refurbishment

We will revamp the recreation ground and revitalise the existing play area by:
Replacing 4 pieces of play equipment in the existing play area which are beyond economical repair with new items.
Resurface an area in the play park which has become overgrown with weed and devoid of bark with a new, safer, more durable surface.
Service and repair the universal joint on the current basket swing as detailed by
Rospa.
Replace existing corroded football posts and ‘holey’ nets.
Provide 3 picnic benches for the grassed area.
Provide seated bench under the pavilion canopy.
Paint existing wooden climbing fort with playground safety material.
Replace guttering on pavilion.
Seek community resource to trim and strim small woodland area.

This will create a safe, inclusive and attractive space for children, parents, residents, visitors and the wider community to enjoy and to encourage outdoor activity, social connection and wellbeing.
