Seamill Pond and Bottle Cowp Play Park

The project is part of the wider Castle and Seamill Improvement Scheme designed to renovate and regenerate a 12 Ha area of derelict and under utilised land designated as a ‘green corridor’ located beside the castle housing estate, a residential area of Burntisland within the 20%SIMD. The scheme is intended to benefit not only the immediate residents but also the wider public of Burntisland, users of the Fife Coastal Path (adjacent and within the scheme area), and visitores to this potentially very attractive area.
The project will construct an adventure play area (8-16 age group) and provide wildlife and amenity areas on the site. Paths will be to full ACCESS standard. Part of the amenities – particularly those associated with the pond are aimed at wild life diversity for educational purposes.
