Seaton Park: Riverside Access Improvements

Seaton Park forms part of the woodlands in and around town initiative (WIAT) funded by the Forestry Commission (Scotland) and Aberdeen City Council. The WIAT project will revitalise woodlands throughout Aberdeen by improving quality of life for local residents through improving access and woodland management.
Seaton park is a 32 hectae public park which is well wooded in lthe Bridge of Don district of Aberdeen
This is a large project which will delilver new interpretation, 700 metres of new path and the planting of 7000 trees. The Landfill Community Fund will pay for the installation of wooden steps and path leading down to an existing picnic site. The works will also include 500 metres of post and rail fence which leads from the picnic site to a main point of entry to the park.
The local community endorses the project and a letter of support is attached.
