securing mac for future generations

This project is the landscaping the 8.6 acre redeveloped mac site in Cannon Hill Park (mac is undergoing a £15m redevelopment). Key to our redevelopment is the interface between the park and mac – enticing park users into our building and vice versa, seamlessly linking the two. It includes an outside performance space – specifically for artistic activities, theatre and puppet shows, musical events, and creative workshops for children – to ensure full usage all year round. The courtyard area, opening out onto our landscaped grounds, will visually link the centre and the park. The project includes timber slat seating, a performance space, picnic areas, litter bins, landscaped terraces, sloped walkways, steps with handrails and balustrades, cycle racks, water bowls for dogs, and awnings to provide shade. It will be planted sympathetically to link with the park, and provide an oasis of calm.
