Sevenoaks Vine Café, The Sevenoaks Vine Club

This project is for the refurbishment of a public asset of architectural significance into a community café for the benefit of Sevenoaks’ people enjoying leisure on the Vine common and the Vine band stand, whilst additionally benefitting children’s sport and the disabled by addition of a new toilet. It is to be a “not for profit” enterprise in which surplus revenues from the café are used by the Sevenoaks Vine Club for the internal upkeep of the historic Vine Grade II listed pavilion, which is an icon of the town, and the common ground known as The Vine. The project will include refurbishment of the building formerly known as the band practice room, but not used as such for decades, which is deemed architecturally significant by the local conservation officer. A disabled toilet facility will be incorporated which will also benefit people enjoying the use of the Vine for leisure activities.
