Sheffield Woodland Environmental Enhancement Project (S.W.E.E.P)

The SWEEP project aims to improve ad enhance Ecclesall Woods And Sawmill Site to enhance visitors experience, whilst engaging and supporting local groups and individuals with co ordinated volunteer working on a range of enviromnmental projects.
1. Improve paths and access infrastructure, biodiversity and species conservation within Ecclesall Woods and the Limb Valley Woodlands through a programme capital improvement works.
2. Pond creation and landscaping and species conservation (grass snakes) at Ecclesall Woods Sawmill to increase biodiversity and educational value.
3. The provision of education and interpretation around the new classroom and Visitor Centre.
4. An annual programme of volunteer opportunities to assist in the delivery of all aspects of the project and engagement with the amenity.
5. The employment of a volunteer co-ordinator to deliver and co-ordinate the project.
