Shelford activity park

The proposed project aims to enhance the open recreational space in Shelford village by installing a range of inclusive and engaging outdoor equipment. This initiative will focus on three key areas: play equipment designed specifically for teenagers, accessible equipment suitable for individuals with disabilities of all ages, and outdoor gym equipment intended for use by children, teenagers, adults, and older residents alike.
Currently, the open space lacks facilities that adequately serve the full age and ability range of the community. This project will address that gap by creating a welcoming, multi-functional environment that encourages physical activity, social interaction, and time spent outdoors. The new installations will be complemented by additional seating areas, enabling visitors to relax, read, or enjoy the scenery, thereby supporting mental well-being as well as physical health.
