Shillingford Community Wood – Purchase

The purchase of Shillingford Wood to ensure it remains a diverse woodland area, managed for the environment and wildlife, To keep it open to the local community and wider public where possible. The wood is a vital area of recreation and biodiversity (eg stunning bluebells, woodpeckers) involving preserving ancient woodland and wildlife, creating new habitat with new plantings. Bird and bat boxes are being established and hedgehogs encouraged.
