Charlton Rovers FC has signed a 25-year lease to build a home at Shipton Oliffe Sports Field just outside Charlton Kings. The club currently relies on a network of council and third party owned pitches and facilities to play matches and train and so this development would secure its future. The site is currently derelict, and planning has been granted for the erection of a modern block complete with changing rooms. This is the subject of the application to ECT.
