Shiregreen URC, Sheffield – Safe Garden Project (5949/D)

The planned Safe Garden area is sheltered, protected and safe, and will be used for developmental activities for the smaller children, planting and growing activities for the older children, and recreational space for the older people. It will be open every day (when dry!) for the user groups. One window and the brickwork below it will be removed, and a weatherproof external pvc french door set with frame will be installed. The banking will be reduced, with a low retaining wall, into which child-friendly planting beds will be located. The uneven levels will be decked to provide level access from the hall to the safe play area.

The Trust grant will contribute towards the fitting of the french door, levelling, retaining wall and decking.
