Shorne Common, Gravesend – Play area refurbishment (7295)

Shorne has a small toddlers’ play area consisting of a toddlers’ slide and a toddlers’ cradle swing, obtained second-hand approximately 25 years ago. The existing equipment can only accommodate 2 or 3 toddlers at the same time and is showing signs of wear and tear. This aim of this project is to replace the old equipment with a new play area that appeals to a wider age range, stimulates and helps the development of children, and complements the semi-rural environment. The new play area will create a pleasant environment for families without the need to travel further afield by car or public transport.
