Shotts Nature Park Access Improvements

Shotts Nature Park is an important recreational resource and public greenspace for the community of Shotts (North Lanarkshire) and neighbouring villages. The 30.7 ha park was created from farmland in 1990 by Central Scotland Forest Trust and provides a variety of access, leisure and volunteering opportunities.

LCF monies are requested to improve access throughout the park (and ensure that it is fully accessible to all) and enhance and protect landscaping and wildlife interests. Part of the works will be undertaken by a local social enterprise company(Clydesdale Community Initiative) promoting training opportunities for those most socially disadvantaged.
