Shrewsbury URC, Shrewsbury – Transformation Phase II (40141/D)

The project aims to continue the improvement of the facilities carrying out the following works:Total gutting and refitting of disabled toilet including: • Fitting non slip floor • More hygienic – Retiling walls • Fitting disabled toilet suite including appropriate ‘lift arms’ • New sink with appropriate taps and water heater • More energy efficient heating • Replace wooden wall panelling with tiles • Fan fitted for ventilation • Panic alarm fitted • Suspended ceiling to improve insulation • Secondary glazing to improve insulation • More energy efficient lighting.
Conversion of disused room to general purpose meeting room for community use: • More energy efficient lighting • Refurbishment including redecoration, new tables, curtains etc. • Improve insulation by fitting suspended ceiling and secondary glazing.

The Trust grant will contribute towards the costs of the improvements to the disabled toilet and meeting room.
