Shropshire’s Ancient Tree Inventory

The aim is to survey and verify 602 veteran trees in Shropshire. Each tree will be visited, survey and photographsed and infoamtion uploaded to the appropriate data collection websites. Data gathered will fulfill 100% of the Local BAP for Lowland Wood-pasture, Parkland and Veteran trees. Additonal data will be gathered about landownership and potential management to help the prioritisation of management works for these ancient trees. Infomation will also be forwarded to approporaite organisations including Natural England where sites are in Stewardship.
