Siccaridge Wood Dormouse Project

Siccaridge Wood is a 26.6ha ancient woodland that supports over 950 different species, many of which are rare or protected. The wood supports the common dormouse a species which is protected under European law. The project sets out to manage the wood in a sustainable manner that will provide ideal habitat for dormouse. The coppice management will also benefit wild flowers and butterflies. The wood is particularly important for its molluscs.
