Silchester Village Hall – Roof Works (005723)

The roofing project is an extension of the Village Hall redevelopment project in 2014, when certain key issues were addressed, namely the provision of disabled toilets and enlarged and updated kitchen facilities.Builders identified the need for remedial work on the roof as there was no felting or insulation. The hall also suffers from water ingress during wet weather, when there is a wind to blow the rain in through the tiles. Felting the roof will prevent this from happening. The hall roof also has wooden vents that are rotten, these will be replaced once the roof is completed.
