Silent Valley Nature Trail Phase 2

Mourne Heritage Trust (MHT) aims to extend an existing 1km linear nature trail at Silent Valley Mountain Park in Mourne by constructing a 1.4km return leg, to create a high quality circular walking route, beginning and ending at the main car park. The nature trail provides stunning views of the Mourne Mountains and a closeness to nature.
The trail will be built to Access for All standards as there is limited disabled access in the high Mournes. It will also be used to provide access for volunteers to help manage the habitat of the Kilkeel River Valley, and this will be delivered through the Trusts Active lifestyles and Conservation Volunteer Programmes.
