Simister Wetlands Access Improvements

The aim of the project is to increase the usage and value of the currently neglected and overgrown Simister Wetlands site by improving access to, and knowledge of, the site. This will be achieved by volunteers from the local community working with BTCV to put in raised footpaths, cut back overhanging vegetation, remove Himalayan Balsam, and also by promoting the project within Simister by producing newsletters and press releases, and giving local people the opportunity to learn more about the practical environmental conservations.
