Skegby Hall Grounds, Sutton-in-Ashfield – Restoration (4774/DA)

The project will consist of the clearing and repairing of two ponds and associated weirs on an adjacent stream, Selected existing trees within the ancient woodland will be coppiced and thinned in line with ecologist’s recommendation. A new mixed species nature boundary hedgerow will be planted and a variety of birds and bat boxes will be put up in the grounds. A hydrological engineer will be engaged to advise and administer the works to the ponds. The Trust will contribute towards the overall restoration.
