Slimbridge Wetland Centre – Kingfisher Hide

This project will build a new kingfisher hide at Slimbridge Wetland Centre – creating a substantially improved and fully accessible visitor facility. The hide and surrounding habitat development will provide an unrivalled bird watching experience. Visitors will be able to observe breeding Kingfishers, breeding waders, passerines and wintering wildfowl. The hide will be designed and promoted to attract a wide range of visitors, including school groups and families. This project will provide a constantly changing wildlife spectacle all year round, to inspire and educate the public, as part of WWT’s programme of conservation education and public awareness.
