Sluie Park Greenspace Improvements

This is a small greenspace in Dyce which is surrounded on three sides by road, is unfenced, has no seating and has a few pieces of poor quality play equipment and a few poorly maintained areas of vegetation.
The community was consulted over what it wanted to see in the area and the Dyce and Newhills Community Council is providing some funding for the project.
The new play area is designed to meet the needs of younger children and is DDA compliant, attractive and was chosen by the local residents. The project will put in new play equipment, surround the area with a fence and around one hundred metres of native hedge will be planted during a community engagement programme aimed at local ownership and involvement. Ten standard trees will be planted around the play area in order to promote biodiversity.
