Solar Installation, St Andrew’s URC and Methodist Church, Sedgley

Sedgley through the installation of solar PV panels and battery storage.

Solar panels will provide electricity to the community rooms at the church and also to the community café and the worship area. Battery storage will allow these rooms to be used at all times of the year, the power for lighting being mainly from the church’s own source.
Environmental considerations: The whole purpose of the project is to deliver electricity efficiently and locally and to reduce the burning of fossil fuels.

Hard to reach considerations: The church encourages new members by advertising its shop and café by word of mouth and through the website.
