Solar Powered Lights for Lakeside Community Park, Lakeside Community Park Group, Brierley Hill, Dudley

This is a project to provide low level lighting in the unlit areas along the pathways around Lakeside Community Park in Brierley Hill. Two sections of the pathway currently have no streetlights, meaning they are mostly used during daylight hours. The project is to install three solar panel lights. These are sensor and time controlled so have no effect on the wildlife, but brighten when people approach making it safe to use the paths 24 hours a day. This is especially necessary in the winter when parts of the path can become icy. The park has a large dog walking community that will benefit from being able to access the paths more often and will hopefully reduce the chance of any antisocial behaviour.
