South Aston Community Association, Birmingham – MUGA improvements (40390/D)

The project aims to open the MUGA to very much wider use by providing Astroturf, improving the floodlighting and self-generation of power and by opening a new entrance and access path. The facility needs a new surface to encourage wider usage and to meet contemporary standard.
The White House, which can act as Club House, training rooms and general meeting and storage space needs a new roof together with the required insulation, both to save on heating costs and to exclude noise. Bringing the White House into full use requires works to the gardens so that planting areas for vegetable growing and an extension to the orchard can be made available to local residents in high-rise flats.
The Trust will contribute towards the MUGA improvements.
