South Cumbria Species Restoration Project – Plant & Butterfly Restoration at Hodbarrow Nature Reserve

The South Cumbria Species Restoration Project is a four year, multi-partner project to reintroduce up to 10 species of flora and fauna across lowland and low fells fringing Morecombe Bay in South Cumbria and North Lancashire. This project is a sub-project of the South Cumbria Species Restoration Project and will involve the creation of ‘bunds’ and ‘scrapes’ at Hodbarrow Nature Reserve to improve habitat variation and support reintroduced population of small blue butterfly.
